Hawk explains that one of the pages gives an account of a dream Laura had of Annie Blackburn where Annie tells her that “the good Dale is in the lodge and he can’t come out.” – Season 3, episode 7; 6:00. Frank Skype-calls Doc Hayward who tells him that he brought Cooper into the hospital because he was acting peculiar. An hour later he saw Cooper leaving Intensive Care, fully-dressed and with a strange expression. He speculates that Cooper was checking on Audrey Horne, who was still comatose after the bank explosion. Lieutenant Cynthia Knox arrives in Buckhorn, where she meets with Detective Macklay. She is shocked to learn that Major Briggs’ prints actually came from a body. The coroner Constance Talbot shows her the headless body and tells her it belongs to a man in his late 40s who died within the last five or six days. Albert begins “In 1970 the United States Air force shut down Project Blue Book, their twenty year investigation into UFO’s. They concluded that no credible evidence existed and therefore they posed no threat to National Security. Another words a massive cover-up. Cheers …” Albert proposes the toast and they all drink to it. He continues “a few years later the military and FBI formed a top secret task force to explore the troubling extractions raised by cases Bluebook failed to resolve. We called it the Blue Rose after a phrase uttered by a woman in one of these cases just before she died, which suggested these answers could not be reached except by an alternate path we have been travelling ever since. Gordon suggested an agent by the name of Phillip Jefferies to head the squad. He soon recruited three others myself, Chet Desmond and Dale Cooper. Richard questions what they’re doing and the Doppelgänger tells him to pay attention and he will find out. He then tells him “I’m looking for a place. Do you understand the place?” Richard looks at quizzically, repeating “place?” The Doppelgänger continues “three people have given me coordinates to that place. Two of the coordinates match. What would you do Richard?” Richard replies “I’d check out the two that match.” The Doppelgänger says “you’re a very bright young man and we’re very close to the two that match. It says its right up there” the Doppelgänger gestures with his GPS phone to a boulder at the top of the hill. Jerry Horne, still playing the madman in the woods happens upon the scene and looks on unseen from a hill top in the distance. Lucy Brennan answers, recognizing Cole’s voice after babbling on for a while she connects him the sheriff. Cole expects Harry but Frank explains his brother’s ill and tells him about the pages from Laura Palmer‘s diary Hawk found that suggested the existence of two Coopers. Albert tells Tammy “Case number one, this started the whole thing. 1975 two young field agents investigate a murder in Olympia Washington. They arrive at a motel to arrest a suspect named Lois Duffy. They hear a gunshot outside her room and kick the door in. They find two women inside, one on the floor dyeing of a bullet wound in the abdomen, the other holds a gun which she drops as she backs away when they enter. They recognize the wounded one as Lois Duffy. She speaks her last words to them ‘I’m like the Blue Rose.’ She smiles then dies then disappears before their eyes. He counters by telling her that he has known about the affair she is having with their lawyer George, “and maybe somebody else.” She scoffs at him telling him he will now spend the rest of his life in prison. A woodsman who materializes in an adjoining cell eavesdrops on the conversation then dematerializes. When Phyllis goes home evil Cooper is waiting for her standing in the shadows of her home. She apparently knows him because she greets him as a friend. He tells her “you did good. You followed human nature perfectly.” Then he pulls a gun and tells her “this is George’s gun.” She turns to run and he shoots her in the back of the head. Season 3, episode 2. 6:00 -7:00. Cooper alights on a terrace overlooking a purple sea in a world bathed in violet purple light. He goes inside and meets Naido; a mute girl who has no eyes, nor eye appendages. He sees an electrical box with the number 15 on it but she steers him away from it. As the loud banging noise of something trying to get in the room is heard they climb a ladder up through the ceiling and when they go outside they are standing on a room sized cube floating in space. What is clearly “Die Glocke” or the “Nazi Bell” is also on top of the cube. The dents from its 1965 crash landing in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania are clearly visible. The swastika has been replaced by 2 gauges that at a distance could be mistaken for the traditional swastika of artist’s renditions. The banging inside continues and the girl with no eyes throws a lever on die Glocke. She is jolted with electricity and hurled off into space. Cooper remains atop the cube and the giant transparent head of Major Briggs drifts by in space saying “Blue Rose.” Cooper goes back down the ladder. The light and the room are […]

The Return opens with a conversation between the now twenty-five-year older Cooper and a tall gaunt man very similar to the “Giant” from the Red Room. They are in a room that appears to be furnished from the early twentieth century and the scene is filmed in black and white. In the distorted vocals requiring subtitles that are characteristic of the disincarnate beings of Twin Peaks the Giant says, “Agent Cooper listen…to the sounds.” They both look at an old gramophone emitting a clicking noise then back at each other and the Giant continues; “It is in…our house now.” Cooper looks at him, saying in clear English “it is.” The Giant answers “it cannot…be said aloud now. Remember 430, Richard…and Linda, two birds…with one stone.” Cooper nods and resolutely says “I understand…” – Season 3, episode 1. (5:00 – 6:00).
